Thanks Melody! I just read your blogpost on ...Aw! Thanks Melody! I just read your blogpost on your upcoming labor this morning! I can't believe that about the Social Services bit. That's ridiculous. I guess because listening to your fellow women labor next door, along with all the equipment alarming at all hours of the night and day, with chatty nurses who want to "yuck it up" at 3 a.m., those are all meant to be relaxing and peaceful experiences that will help lull you to sleep right??? I'm with you! Get me home, back to my own bed, and let me rest for a little while, and I'll have made more progress in post partum healing from those comforts as ever I would in some hospital!!!

Praying for you my friend!! And yes, I will keep everyone updated on the labor and delivery :)PattyinCThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04286757995048861826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8053163294677552820.post-8195369585336244972013-05-25T01:49:10.156-07:002013-05-25T01:49:10.156-07:00You don't sound like a control freak. You soun...You don't sound like a control freak. You sound like you know your place as a mother. You're right... hospitals are for sick people and we go there to give birth just in case something goes awry. If I knew all would be well with my labors and babies, you wouldn't catch me in a hospital at all. In fact, if I hadn't had need a couple times of neonatal teams on the spot, this upcoming delivery would certainly be at home.

I will pray for you. It is not easy to go against the tide at such a vulnerable time. I am due in July and generally deliver super fast. We try to leave asap because I can't sleep in the hospital and it makes recovery very hard. We just learned that our hospital pediatric staff is trying to make it hospital policy that leaving before 24 hours an automatic call to social services! I'm stunned. I really wish I could just avoid those crazy people and stay home. Please update on the blog after you deliver! God bless you and your family. :)melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08677295427283294982noreply@blogger.com
